Cómeme and SXSW present One Night In Cómeme at the Empire Control Room with:
MATIAS AGUAYO
The Chilean-born and German-raised Matias Aguayo has made a hugely varied body of genre defying/melding work – a blend of deep shadows framed by blinding tropical sun. His DJ sets move beyond standards, implementing his voice and using percussion he plays a seductive game with the audience all over the world. Since 2001, he is supported by Kompakt, the legendary Cologne-based techno label, and created his own label Cómeme in 2009. This spring, he will release a Chicago jacking house inspired four-part EP series called “El Rudo Del House”.

LENA WILLIKENS
Nothing trains a DJ more than a long lasting residency. A truism that the Cologne-based musician and DJ Lena Willikens always proves when she spins her vinyl. For the past five years, she has been in charge of long and sweaty Friday night parties at Düsseldorf’s free-spirited bar/club Salon Des Amateurs. Besides his numerous gigs from Germany to Japan, she is also running the monthly radio show « Sentimental Flashback » on Radio Cómeme and just released her first EP « Phantom Delia ».

An outstanding DJ – most of all, a true DJ with deep dance floor knowledge. Christian S makes the crowd dance to sleazy underground house jams, hypnotic wild pitch rhythms, modern grooves and untold psychedelic disco stories since the 90s. His Cómeme classics (‘Jagos’), (‘The Power of Now’) and his solo EP ‘Pitch Rider’ and DJ sets have taken him to famous venues such as Panorama bar in Berlin, Nitsa Club in Barcelona, but also in Paris, Mexico City, Tromsø, New York Tel Aviv and more. He also gives 2 radio shows on Radio Comeme (« Dance Show ») and on Tim Sweeney’s Beats In Space radio.
