SX is excited to announce that Foster the People will play a free and open to the public show on Friday, March 14 at the Outdoor Stage at Butler Park to coincide with the release of their highly anticipated new album Supermodel (out March 18 via Columbia Records).
The globally-influenced Supermodel is the follow up to Foster the People’s critically acclaimed 2011 debut Torches. Recorded in various locations around the world,Supermodel began as frontman Mark Foster and producer Paul Epworth set up a writing studio in a riad in Essaouira, Morocco at the end of 2012.
We can’t wait to see what the three-time Grammy nominees have in store for their performance in Austin. Based on the praise they’ve already received for their new single, “Coming Of Age,” which Billboard hailed for its “big-beat catchiness and effortless melodies,” it’s clear that the best is yet to come from Foster The People.
Check out the just-released video for “Coming Of Age” here.
SX will be holding free outdoor shows at Butler Park this year while Auditorium Shores undergoes renovations. Shows at the Outdoor Stage at Butler Park are open to SX registrants, wristband holders, and the general public with free Guest Passes, available in advance or on-site at the event.
