Latest SXSW Announcements 850 563 RSVPster

Ed note: So many festival event announcements  have happened lately — so we got @CameronatSXSW to do a rundown of all the latest festival news. Follow @CameronatSXSW and @RSVPster on Twitter for the last festival news, rumors and RSVP info.

The last week has been pretty busy for SX announcements. We know how chaotic it can be to keep up with everything, but don’t worry, we’re here to help.

This morning, Apple announced that they will be hosting the iTunes Music Festival  during the fest, which will include performances by Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Zedd, Pitbull, Kieth Urban, and Willie Nelson. There are still two days worth of lineups they haven’t announced yet, so stay tuned. Keep in mind…

“To determine which badge holders will be admitted to these shows, SX will conduct ticket drawings, which grant priority entry for badge holders only. No other credentials are eligible to enter these drawings”

and

“A limited number of wristbands may also be eligible for tickets through a separate process which will be announced closer to the dates of the shows. Watch your email.”

Yesterday, NPR announced that their Stubb’s showcase on 3/12 will feature performances from Damon Albarn (of Blur and Gorillaz), the previously rumored St. Vincent, Kelis, and Perfect Pussy. This event will be badges and wristbands only.

While Auditorium Shores undergoes construction, the large, free shows hosted by the festival will be moved across the street next to the Long Center at Butler Park this year. Yesterday, they announced that the Friday 3/14 show will be headlined by Foster the PeopleRemember, the free Guest Pass (new for SX ’14) gets you in to this event.

While the details are still TBD, Mass Appeal will be returning to Austin Music Hall this year on Friday 3/14, and info has leaked that there will be performances by Nas, BoB, and A$AP Rocky. We’ve been told that the lineup has a lot more artists performing, and that it will be announced in full next Wednesday (2/26) via the festival radio. This event will be badges and wristbands priority with a limited number of tickets sold and the entrance if capacity allows.

Waterloo Records announced their annual day parties, featuring performances by Gary Numan, Jake Bugg, Charli XCX, The 1975, Talib Kweli, Mobb Deep, Aloe Blacc, A Great Big World, Wild Child, Speedy Ortiz, and more. These shows are free and open to the public, have no RSVP and happen the parking lot of the record store. For the full lineup, click here

Spotify House released their lineup yesterday, which includes Phantogram, Real Estate, Warpaint, Vance Joy, Mutual Benefit, Future Islands, Dum Dum Girls, Chuck Inglish, Shakey Graves, Vitamin String Quartet, DJ Rashad, and more. You can view the full lineup and RSVP here. Spotify House is open to the public (with an RSVP), and is a 21+ event. The event moved from it’s former location at Cesar Chavez coffee shop Cenote to a lot on East 6th (near 6th and Brushy St).

Details are slowly coming out about MTVu’s Woodie Awards Festival, an all day event on Thursday 3/13. Complex Magazine announced yesterday that Childish Gambino will be one of the headliners, with Vic Mensa and Bleachers performing throughout the day as well. Stay tuned for the full lineup and RSVP/ticket info, which should be released next week.

Red Bull Sound Select is coming back to Austin for four days, and two of those days have been announced. On Tuesday 3/12, the event will be headlined by Earl Sweatshirt, and on Wednesday 3/13, it will be headlined by Twin Shadow and Jagwar Ma. You can RSVP to these events here. Note: RSVPster won’t RSVP you to this event, so must RSVP yourself if interested in attending.

And finally, Filter Magazine will of course be returning to SX with a large number of different showcases and multi-day events happening on Rainey St. The first showcase for #FilteronRainey was announced yesterday, and features Kelis, Aloe Blacc, Chet Faker, Allen Stone, NONONO, and more. You can view the full lineup and RSVP here. This event (and most Filter events in general) are 21+ and badges/wristbands only during the night shows, however you may be able to get into the day shows with an RSVP. Stay tuned for future showcase announcements from Filter.

Be on the lookout for the lineups for Fader Fort, Hype Hotel, MTVu, Spin, Vice, and more, which should be dropping within the next week or two. To keep up with all these announcements, follow @CameronAtSXSW and @RSVPster on Twitter.
