South By San Jose (SXSJ) is an annual 5 day festival concurrent with SX Music Festival which takes place in mid-March. The hotel parking lot is transformed into a live music venue with bands, local vendors and concessions. Past performers include Wanda Jackson, Billy Joe Shaver, Built To Spill, Alabama Shakes, Black Joe Lewis, The Black Angels, Alejandro Escovedo, The North Mississippi All-Stars, What Made Milwaukee Famous, and many more. The event is always free and open to everyone, and is a popular meeting place for locals and visitors.
