Airbnb, the world’s leading community driven hospitality company today announced it is teaming up with Capitol Records and Cashmere Agency during the 2014 SX Music Festival in Austin, TX. The Airbnb Park will feature exclusive artist-curated pop-ups and diverse daily programming. Airbnb celebrates the most interesting people, places and experiences worldwide, and this new collaboration will provide SX attendees with a distinctly one-of-a-kind experience in Austin this year.
From March 11 to 15, The Airbnb Park will showcase pop-ups and open public spaces welcoming artists and fans to an oasis amidst the bustle of SX. Here, SX goers can enjoy an array of activities day and night including spa treatments, yoga, live music courtesy of emerging acts ranging from bluegrass to rock to hip hop, and specialty cooking events. The centerpieces will be three kitHAUS pop-ups curated by a trio of music artists: entertainment superstar Snoop Dogg,acclaimed LA-based indie-pop duo Capital Cities and 26-year-old soul sensation Allen Stone. Each artist will collaborate with designer Emily Henderson on the design of their pop-up to best convey their personal styles within the pop-up. Additionally, each of them will contribute to the programming at each pop-up, from specially selected musical performances to exclusive food tastings.
Attendees can stop by The Airbnb Park for beautifully designed public spaces, which include park and dining areas and wi-fi hot spots. Daily programming will entice the senses and prepare visitors for the long days and nights ahead: morning “Hang Time” will serve up organic coffee and freshly-pressed juices, “Rise + Relax” will feature meditation and yoga sessions, and rotating local chefs and food trucks will prepare tasty creations, and for those who stay out ’til the sun comes up, soothing awaits at the “Hangover Haven.”
