Ed. note: With the festival quickly approaching, we’re posting rundowns of the latest news, parties and RSVPster updates. We keep our Google Alerts active so you don’t have to — Got a party tip? Email us.

Site news:

The Facebook RSVP app is up: Use this to login via your Facebook and RSVP to every event RSVP hosted via Facebook event.

Party calendar: We’re adding to the party calendar daily – and you can view the party listings here. If you’re an RSVPster user, you’ll get a link to a gCal/iCal calendar export for the calendar so that you can view your event schedule on-the-go from your phone while festing.

Manual RSVP events: As it mentions in the FAQ – there’s some events we’re unable to RSVP you to (bummer!), so to make this easy to keep track — we’re emailing the links to these events as soon as they go out to all site users. We’re also adding these events to the ‘manually RSVP’ page of the calendar here.

On The Radar:
Many events are still to-be-announced. Here’s a list of the events we have on the radar for the music part of the festival.

Hype Hotel: The landing page has been up for a few weeks, but Hype Machine is still mum on the lineup. Word is that this party will be official, but also take RSVPs as they did for 2014.

Fader Fort: “WHEN IS THE FADER FORT RSVP OUT?” –  We probably hear that about 10 times a day – patience, y’all. It normally comes out closer to the fest. This year, like last year, the event is official with a badge line, and also an RSVP line. They had a lottery for the RSVP last year — meaning: not everyone who RSVPed got confirmed to get a wristband. The Fort will take over the Pecan Street Station spot on East 5th — presumably for the last time since the lot will soon be turned into a shopping/residential development.

Spin: Always a favorite, Spin will definitely be back for 2015, but no lineup or RSVP link yet.

NYLON Magazine: Nylon will be back at The W Hotel for 2015, but no information on their full lineup or RSVP details.

Boiler Room x Ray Ban: They announced close to the festival last year, and either could be doing the same this year, or be completely out — or have different sponsors involved.

Paste Magazine: Only hosted events during Interactive for 2014, no word about 2015 yet.

KSGR and KUT morning showcases: both local radio stations will have their early morning showcases during music, lineups coming soon.

Pandora Discovery Den: They’re back on 6th Street for 2015 — no lineup or RSVP yet.

IHEARTCOMIX, Embrace & Heard AUSTIN PARTY WEEKEND: Follow the party Twitter account for festival hints. They’ve got two venues downtown this year, making this party even bigger and better than before.

The Illmore: The countdown continues.

Soundcloud: They still have their site up from last year for the Soundcloud Club House — we’ll keep watch on any news for this year.

Free People: The clothing brand has tweeted a few times about the festival — and they’re going to take over a very sweet spot in East Austin for the week. Free People hasn’t announced their programming yet, but the location they have is prime, so should be a great spot to hang out during the fest.

Rachael Ray Feedback: No announcements or RSVP link out yet for this one. Ray’s husbands band – The Cringe – has a show during the festival on the 19th at Red Gorilla Music Fest, but that’s the only solid, somewhat-related news about this event.

Mophie: For 2014, the portable charger brand had the Mophie Hanger at the Fair Market space on East 5th. No word yet on what they’re doing for 2015, but be sure to buy yourself a mophie before getting to Austin. The phone charger is one of our festival must-haves — see the full list here.

Samsung: After Prince in 2013, and Kanye and Jay Z last year — we’re on the look out for what they might do 2015. There’s some rumors that it could be Kendrick Lamar. Samsung loves to hold their cards tight, and usually don’t announce until right before the fest.

Perez Hilton’s One Night in Austin: This event has been a paid ticket for the past few years to benefit a music charity. If Perez brings the party back for 2015, expect it to happen at a venue like Austin Music Hall.

These are just a few of the upcoming event announcements. Check back for our lists of favorite festival events, artists to watch, rumors, and festival tips.
