Interview snippets taken from the Daily Nebraskan:
Daily Nebraskan: Your last.fm description said your lyrics have a “romantic penchant for adventure.” Any truth to that?
[Desert Noises]: Yeah, definitely. A lot of our songs can be about relationships, and a lot of times they can be about the adventures we’re having. It’s been awhile since I’ve read that description, but I think it fits pretty well.
Daily Nebraskan: Your music is a relaxed, calm kind of rock. How did you decide to go for that kind of sound?
[Desert Noises]: I think we just kind of let it happen. All of us are into different music styles, so if I write a song, it’s kind of like, I write it and bring it to the band and then let the song go the way it’s going to go. We all put in input, but I think that the sound comes as it’s supposed to, you know? We don’t try to force it. It’s really important for us to not try and make it sound a certain way. Let the music write itself.
