Is it possible to already want into an event without knowing the line-up? If Brooklyn Vegan is involved with the booking, the answer is always yes. BV began the roll out of SX plans with a Scoot Inn Day Party, TBA official showcases, and now they’ve gone and taken over East 6th’s brothel-turned-bar Hotel Vegas (and adjoining Volstead Lounge) for 4 days straight of blog-worthy bands. Quit teasing, BV, we know your hotel guests will draw a line all way to The Grackle of fans looking to catch a show.
No clue on who is behind the Austin Never Sleeps party happening every night of SXMusic — an event that doesn’t start until 2AM (with no stated locale – is someone trying to bring back the Music Gym?! Help us all), but I admire their ability to keep up the rage. At least this party (line-up TBA) provides a place to go after-hours if you were unable to procure an $800 South Austin AirBnB rental. You can’t sleep with OccupyAustin anymore, so why not instead consume an “insurmountable amount of bands, booze and swag.” RSVPsters, you’re on the list.
