Fall Out Boy and Wiz Khalifa recently announced their joint “Boys of Zummer’ tour. Before FOB head out on their massive tour with Wiz, they have a handful of music festivals on the books: Soundwave Fest in Australia, Pot of Gold Fest in Arizona, Punkspring Fest in Japan, and the Houston Rodeo on March 8th. Why not add SX to that list. Their available dates are 3/13-3/14, and 3/16-3/22.

Hozier is currently on tour. He is playing Houston and Dallas during the music portion of SX with open dates on 3/18 and 3/21. Plus, he owes ATX for having to cancel on ACL.

The War on Drugs and Perfect Pussy both recently announced their spring tours. They both have full availability for SX.

Deerhoof, Of Montreal, & Fred Thomas are NOT on the official artist list. CMJ.com says they will be at SX. According to the article they are set to play The Polyvinyl Records Showcase on 03/19 at Cheer Up Charlie’s, and a TBA event on 3/20.

Circa Survive just announced a headlining tour with Balance And Composure. They have 3/19 & 3/22 available to play this year at SXSW.

Norma Jean has a headlining tour coming up. They will be in TX, and have open dates from 3/17 – 3/19 and 3/22. Update: RECENTLY CONFIRMED: Norma Jean, For The Fallen Dreams, and Sirens & Sailors will be playing an event on 3/18 at the Dirty Dog.

La Dispute will perform intimate, seated shows during their tour with Title Fight. Their tour starts on March 21st in Houston. It seems likely that they will play at SX.

Travi$ Scott recently took to twitter and this is what he had to say: “Jus had to add one more place. Cause I know YALL would be mad if I didn’t come there. And I had to put a touch on one more thing.” It seems to me, the use of ‘Y’ALL’ is code to say that he is coming to SX. What else could he mean? UPDATE: now confirmed for SX! Don’t you love when a rumor comes true?

Mikky Ekko wraps up his tour in Chicago on March 18th, and had no stops in Texas. It’s very possible that he will swing by the festival.

Faith No More announced a full-fledged North American tour. They have no stops in Texas and are completely open for SX.

It’s a long shot, but, 5 Seconds of Summer have a tour starting in July. They have no scheduled stops in ATX. Maybe?!

BUKU artist rumors…

Empire of the Sun is playing BUKU Fest in New Orleans on 3/13 – 3/14, and open for the rest of SX.

TV on The Radio is also playing BUKU Fest and is in Dallas on 3/19 and 3/20. Very likely that they will appear in Austin. Confirmed artists that BUKU and SX are sharing this year include: Run the jewels, Odesza, Robert Delong, Raury, and Suicideyear. Other BUKU artists available include (see full lineup): Bassnectar, A$AP Rocky, Passion Pit, Porter Robinson, Flosstradamus, Borgore, Portugal. The Man, Zomboy, Gramatik, Jamie Jones, and Bobby Shmurda.
